Casino resorts in Asia are incredibly popular with Asian tourists from countries where such facilities are banned, like China, Thailand and Taiwan, to name a few. Macau has long been a gambler's paradise situated close to casino-free Hong Kong and mainland China. The major casinos in town are the Hotel Lisboa Casino, which is situated in Macau city at the Hotel Lisboa. A local favourite with on site night club and other facilities.
The Mandarin Oriental Casino, another Macau favourite, is located at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, facilities include restaurants, cafe and much more. The Kingsway Hotel Casino situated in Macau city, is another hotel and casino complex that has several restaurants and all the usual facilities.
Outside Macau city the Hyatt Regency Taipa Resort is situated on Taipa Island. This casino and hotel complex has restaurants, bars and golf facilities.

Communist Laos now has a casino at the Dan Sa Vanh Nam Ngum Resort, located beside Nam Ngum Lake some 60 km from Vientiane. This hotel and casino complex features an 18 hole golf course and all the usual luxury facilities. It's the kind of place built solely for tourists from neighbouring countries.
Korea has 10 casinos and counting, most of which are open only to foreigners. The Walker Hill Casino located at the Walker Hill Hotel in Seoul is a favourite. There are also casinos located in Cheju, Gangwondo, Incheon and Busan.
Cambodia is another country trying to cash in on the cross - border trade from nearby Thailand. The Koh Kong International Resort Club Casino is located just 200 metres from the Thai border, in Koh Kong.
O Smach, just across the border from Kap Cheong in Surin Province, Thailand is another gambling spot with two casinos within spitting distance of the border.
Cambodia also has a number of gaming establishments in Poipet on the border with Aranyaprathet, Thailand, as well as in the Capital Pnomh Penh.



Burma has three Casinos, as in Laos they are all situated near the Thai border to cash in on Thai day trippers. The Andaman Club Casino is located at Ranong Island. Two other casinos are located at Tachilek a short walk across the bridge from northern Thailand. They are the Golden Triangle Paradise Resort and the Regina Golf Club.
The Philippines has at least 12 casinos, the best located in Manila include the Holiday Inn Maila Pavilion Hotel Casino, the Paranaque Casino and the Hotel Sofitel Grand Boulevard Manila. All offer a high level of comfort and facilities. There are also casinos in Bacolod City, Balibago City, Cebu City, Davao City, Fort Locandia, Olangapo, Pasay City and Tagaytay City.
There are two casinos in Vietnam, the Furama Resort Danang, which is an international standard resort in the city of Danang on Vietnam's central coast. The Do Son Casino is located in Haiphong in the country's north, several hours by car from Hanoi.
Singapore currently has a massive casino planned and promises to eclipse its competitors in Asia. The Singaporeans never do anything by halves and, once completed, this casino complex is sure to be one of the most exciting in South East Asia.
