If you fancy trying your luck in Sydney, the biggest and brashest Casino in town is Star City. Unlike the many small to medium sized casino's around town which feature poker machines, Star City is an international standard resort casino with all the standard casino favourites like blackjack, roulette, keno and baccarat to blow your money on.
Accessible by light rail or a brisk walk from Darling Harbour, Sydney's Star City Casino is situated in Pyrmont by the harbour with views across to the Harbour bridge.
Star City boasts some 13 restaurants and bars, two theatres and a massive glittering 24 hour casino. There is also a 5 Star Hotel and Serviced Apartment complex on site.
The hotel has 306 standard rooms, 43 suites, and two dual level penthouses. The apartment complex offers 130 serviced apartments including one, two or three bedroom apartments.

Arriving at the main entrance you are greeted with an ostentatious glass frontage several stories high, resplendent with neon lights and massive sparkling signs and decorations. With limousines and taxis queuing at the entrance the Casino trys hard to impress with its glittering façade and succeeds !
The lower floors of the complex feature a shopping arcade with an Irish pub and a number of convenience type stores. Take the elevator from the main entrance of the casino up past the imitation waterfalls and oceans of neon lights and you arrive at the large gaming room floor.

Star City Casino has an Australiana kind of feel inside, with a bar disguised as a cave, all manner of creatures built into the décor and acres of poker machines. The theme here is not Monte Carlo type sophistication but Las Vegas style glitz and if you enjoy that then Star City will keep you entertained !
Outside there is an interesting series of boardwalk type paths winding higher and higher up the complex offering superb views over Sydney and the harbour. There is a pretty fountain featuring multi colored lighting offering an impressive foreground to the views beyond. Just the spot to relax after a hard day battling the poker machines.
